North Coast Bearings has released the new DT Components Differential and Transmission products catalog, DT2015. The DT2015 catalog contains rebuild kits for many new differential and transmission models as well as updated listings for light duty vehicles, including new 2015 models.
In addition to the new rebuild kits and applications, the DT2015 catalog now contains wheel and axle kits for light duty vehicles along with additional levels of content for the light duty differential rebuild kits. This provides an easier way for customers to order all the necessary parts for a complete axle rebuild.

GM 126/226 Updated Transfer Case Shift Lever and Bearing01/19/2015
DT Components are now offering the updated shift lever bearing and shift lever for the GM 126/226 transfer case. This updated bearing and shift lever offers improved durability over the original design. If you are replacing the old design bearing with the new design, you must also replace the shift lever as the new bearing will not work with the old design shift lever. DT Components Agreement01/24/2012
The Timken Company and North Coast Bearings LLC (North Coast), a wholly owned subsidiary of Bearing Technologies Ltd., have agreed to a five-year extension of their strategic alliance, which has supplied kits and components to customers in the automotive and heavy truck aftermarket since 1997, when the companies began collaborating.
Timken and North Coast market and distribute differential and transmission kits and components under the product name DT Components for the light-, medium- and heavy-duty markets. “Since the inception of the DT Components product line, our focus has been on providing quality products to cover a range of applications required by the professional installer,” said Tom Tecklenburg, director of the automotive and heavy-duty aftermarket for Timken. “This combination of Timken quality and North Coast kit development and packaging has proven very successful.”
The alliance's offerings have grown from fewer than 100 kits in 1997 to more than 2,500 today. "We continue to offer one of the most complete lines of differential and transmission kits available in the U.S. light-, medium- and heavy-duty truck aftermarket," Tecklenburg said. “These kits fit with our strategy to continue providing the professional installer with the right parts to do the job right the first time.

Minor Rebuild Kits for TTC Transmissions12/06/2010
DT Components rebuild kits have always been designed to contain all of the components that are necessary for a typical rebuild without adding components that are often not replaced. This prevents product waste and helps customers lower their rebuild costs.
While this works well for many customers, some customers prefer kits to have additional content for convenience and a more complete rebuild.
To better serve our customers, we now offer two levels of kit content in our rebuild kits for TTC transmissions. Our Standard Bearing and Seal Kits will contain the same bearings, seals and gasket content as before, while our new Minor Rebuild Kits will be packaged to the same specifications as the OEM kits and contain additional content such as snap rings, shims and other miscellaneous products that customers may need to complete a rebuild.

New Differential Rebuild Kit For 2009 & Later GM 1/2 Ton Trucks – North Coast Bearings has released the DRK-321Q and DRK-321QMK kits for the 2009 & Later AAM 8.6” Axles. The redesigned 8.6” Axle contains larger, higher capacity pinion bearings that are not interchangeable with previous models.
The DRK-321Q standard rebuild kit contains pinion head & tail bearings, differential bearings, pinion seal, crush sleeve and pinion nut along with gear marking compound, thread locker and silicone gasket maker for the cover.
The DRK-321QMK kit contains everything in the DRK-321Q kit along with the pinion adjusting shims, differential shims and ring gear bolts.

Timken Tapered Roller Bearings Last 7 Times Longer Than Other Brands04/15/2009
In a recent study, Timken tested the bearing life of their case-carburized wheel bearings along with four other brands of case-carburized bearings that are produced in North America.
The results of the test showed that the Timken bearings significantly outperformed the other brands. The bearing life of the closest competitor was only 13% of the bearing life of the Timken bearings. The bearings of the other three competitors had an even shorter bearing life.

North Coast Bearings has added the DRK-307 & DRK-307MK kits to the DT Components product line. These new kits are for the rear differential on all 2004 & Later Dodge & Freightliner Sprinter 3/4 & 1 ton vans.
